Mayfield schools nutrition director attends national USDA event in Washington

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — Mayfield Independent Schools Nutrition Director Leah Feagin is attending a national school nutrition event Monday at the U.S. Department of Agriculture headquarters in Washington, D.C.

The event, hosted by USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins and U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., highlights the “Make America Healthy Again” initiative.

According to the school district, the event focuses on policy updates and investments aimed at improving the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs.

Feagin is joining leaders and stakeholders from agriculture, health care, nutrition, education and local communities to discuss ways to improve the health and well-being of children nationwide.
