Mayfield schools require adult supervision after shooting during football game

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — Mayfield Independent Schools announced Tuesday that all students in kindergarten through eighth grade must be accompanied by an adult at extracurricular activities.

District officials said the policy is intended to ensure safety and provide a secure environment for students, families and staff during school events. The adult accompanying the student will be responsible for them throughout the activity.

Students in grades K–8 will not be admitted without an accompanying adult, officials said.
