Mayfield to open new Fire Station 1 as symbol of tornado recovery

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — The City of Mayfield has announced the grand opening of its new Fire Station 1, set for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, at 115 Kings Drive.

City officials said the new facility comes in the wake of the December 2021 tornado and represents continued recovery efforts and a commitment to public safety.

The event is open to the public, and community members are invited to attend and recognize the work of the Mayfield Fire Department and Mayfield-Graves EMS.
