Mayfield woman arrested on DUI, drug charges following welfare check

MAYFIELD, Ky., (KBSI) — A Mayfield woman was arrested following a welfare check that led police to an impaired driving investigation, authorities said.
Mayfield police officers arrested Keri Hutson, 40, on Dec. 20, 2025, after determining she was operating a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance with a juvenile passenger in the vehicle, according to the Mayfield Police Department.
Police said a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of illegal drugs.
Hutson was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, first offense, with aggravating circumstances; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; and second-degree wanton endangerment.
She was transported to and lodged in the McCracken County Detention Center.
