McCracken County deputies respond to report of pedestrian collision; Man arrested

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — McCracken County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a pedestrian collision on June 2 at approximately 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Bleich Road and Old Mayfield Road.

Upon arrival, deputies found a male, identified as Anthony Kladis, 49, of Paducah, lying in a ditch near a bicycle. However, an investigation determined that no collision had occurred.

Kladis was found to be under the influence of narcotics, acting erratically, and had two active warrants for his arrest. A search of his person revealed a quantity of methamphetamine.

Kladis was transported to McCracken County Regional Jail and charged with possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, public intoxication, and two bench warrants for failure to appear.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Hendron Fire Department and Mercy Regional Ambulance.
