MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) — The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a Paducah man wanted on felony charges in Kentucky and Georgia.
According to the sheriff’s office, Dwayne Morrow, 32, is wanted by the Gwinnett County Police Department in Georgia on charges of kidnapping and battery stemming from an investigation into an incident reported March 12 in Lilburn, Georgia.
Investigators allege Morrow assaulted a man during a dispute at a residence, causing injuries that required medical treatment. Arrest warrants were later issued following the investigation.
As authorities worked to locate Morrow, detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at his Paducah residence. During the search, investigators recovered a handgun.
Because Morrow is a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing firearms. As a result, he is also wanted in Kentucky on a charge of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Investigators believe Morrow may still be in the Paducah-McCracken County area and could be attempting to avoid law enforcement.
Anyone with information about Morrow’s whereabouts is asked to contact the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office at 270-444-4719 or submit an anonymous tip through West Kentucky Crime Stoppers at 270-443-TELL.
Authorities advise the public not to approach or attempt to apprehend Morrow.
Morrow is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
