McCracken County man arrested on 33 counts involving child sexual abuse material

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI) – A 64-year-old McCracken County man faces 33 felony charges involving child sexual abuse material following an investigation by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the sheriff’s office, detectives executed a search warrant at a McCracken County residence Friday, Oct. 9, as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation.

The investigation led to the arrest of William D. Forsythe, 64, of McCracken County.

Forsythe faces 11 counts of possession of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor younger than 12, a Class C felony, and 22 counts of possession of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor younger than 18, a Class D felony.

Forsythe was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office is a member of Kentucky’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which investigates offenses involving the online sexual exploitation of children.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
