McCracken County man arrested on meth trafficking charges

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A McCracken County man was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine following a traffic stop.
Deputy Andrew Prusaczyk conducted the stop on Interstate 24 East Exit 7 Off Ramp at 1:42 a.m. for an equipment violation.
The passenger, Kenneth Mitchell, provided false identifying information to deputies. A search of the vehicle uncovered marijuana, methamphetamine, U.S. currency and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Mitchell was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail and charged with:
– Trafficking in a controlled substance: 1st degree, 1st offense, for possessing more than 2 grams of methamphetamine
– Giving a law enforcement officer false identifying information
– Tampering with physical evidence
– Possessing drug paraphernalia
– Possessing marijuana
