McCracken County Man Killed in ATV Crash After Striking Deer in McCracken County
PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) — A 32-year-old man died Wednesday night following an ATV crash in McCracken County, McCracken County Sheriff’s Office says.
According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 11000 block of Ogden Landing Road around 9:17 p.m. on April 9 after receiving reports of an ATV rollover with CPR in progress.
Upon arrival, deputies and personnel from the West McCracken Fire Department took over life saving efforts before paramedics from Mercy Regional Ambulance Service transported the man to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators said the victim, identified as Javen Bell, was operating a Slingshot motorcycle and was traveling west on Ogden Landing Road when he struck a deer, causing the vehicle to overturn.
The Ballard County Sheriff’s Office, West McCracken Fire Department, and Randy’s Towing assisted at the scene.
The sheriff’s office extended condolences to Bell’s family and asked the community to keep them in their thoughts and prayers saying, “please join the MCSO in keeping the Bell family in your prayers.”
