PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — McCracken County Public Schools will provide free meals to children this summer through the USDA Summer Nutrition Program.
The program offers meals at no cost to children ages 1 to 18. Individuals ages 19 to 21 with qualifying disabilities and individualized education programs are also eligible.
Officials said onsite meals, including breakfast and lunch, will be served at multiple school locations across the county during June and July.
Families also have the option to pick up weekly meal bags containing seven days of breakfast and lunch. Pre-registration is required for meal pickup.
School officials said the program is designed to ensure children have access to nutritious meals while school is not in session.
