MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) — A McCracken County woman was arrested Monday morning following a monthlong drug investigation, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives said they received information in February alleging that Lana M. Ford, 49, was selling methamphetamine in McCracken County. During the investigation, detectives conducted a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from Ford.

Based on the findings, investigators obtained an arrest warrant. On March 2, deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, located Ford at a residence on Needmore Road and took her into custody without incident.

Authorities said detectives recovered approximately 17.6 grams of methamphetamine from Ford’s purse at the time of her arrest.

Ford, who lists a Carolina Street address in McCracken County, was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail. Officials said additional charges are pending in Marshall County.

Ford is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine (second or subsequent offense), possession of marijuana, possession of a hallucinogen and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Anyone with information about illegal activity is encouraged to contact the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office or submit an anonymous tip through West Kentucky Crime Stoppers.
