MDC in Cape Girardeau has new Protection Lieutenant

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri Department of Conservation has promoted Andrew Mothershead to Protection Lieutenant in the Southeast Region.

Mothershead, previously a corporal, will oversee conservation agents in Bollinger, Cape Girardeau, Madison, Scott, and Wayne counties. He most recently served as the Scott County agent.

A 13-year veteran of the department, Mothershead graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Science in 2008.

Mothershead has received several awards during his career, including the Central Region Hunter Education Officer of the Year and Missouri Waterfowl Officer of the Year.
