Medical call turns to arrest in Marshall County

(KBSI) – A medical call turned into an arrest in Marshall County on Sunday.
Vickie Hess, 56, of Jefferson, Ohio faces charges of assault 3rd degree (EMS), alcohol intoxication in a public place, disorderly conduct 2nd degree, menacing and escape 3rd degree.
Marshall County sheriff’s deputies were called to a hotel on Sunday, July 7 to assist medical units with a woman who had locked herself in a bathroom and was alleged to be under the influence of alcohol.
She left the restroom and was taken to the Marshall County Emergency Room.
Once at the hospital, deputies were requested again after they say Hess assaulted staff and caused a disturbance.
Deputies tried to calm Hess down but were unsuccessful.
She was arrested and restrained.
Deputies say Hess was able to get out of the restraints and was again restrained.
Once she was cleared medically, she was taken to the Marshall County Jail.
