Mercy Convenient Care in Jackson prepares for the event of a measles case in the area

JACKSON, Mo. (KBSI) – With three measles cases confirmed in Missouri this year, Mercy hospital like many in the FOX23 area and beyond are working towards reminding residents to be aware of cases of the measles.

Aaron Koehler, a PA with Mercy Convenient Care in Jackson tells me that he and his staff are preparing incase they see a new case in the area.

“CDC is watching this area.” Says PA Koehler, “any time that we have a possible positive measles case come through our clinic, we’re supposed to report it to the CDC.”

Koehler and his team are continually monitoring measles cases, to be prepared incase the disease makes it’s way into the area.
