Mercy Health Foundation awards 14 defibrillator devices to community nonprofits

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – The Mercy Health Foundation held their annual AED award luncheon.
At the luncheon on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, Mercy Health Foundation Southeast awarded 14 automated external defibrillator (AED) devices to area non-profits.
Funds for the devices raised mostly through the foundation’s annual Wine & Chocolate Pairing event in early 2024.
Tickets and sponsorships are available for the 2025 Southeast Wine and Chocolate Pairing, slated for Saturday, February 22, 6 p.m., at the Cape Girardeau Country Club to benefit next year’s class of non-profits in need of an AED.
Amanda Baert, the foundation’s ambassador president, presented the AEDS to these local non-profits:

- SEMO Mudcats Youth Mountain Bike Club
- Southeast Behavior Intervention & Consultation

- St. Francis Xavier Church & School
- Trinity Lutheran Church
- Little Hornets Learning Center
- Whitewater Methodist Church
- Second Missionary Baptist Church
