Mercy Health Foundation to host Independence Day 5K

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Mercy Health Foundation Southeast’s Independence Day 5K is set for July 4, with a goal of attracting more than 500 participants.

The event, in its 26th year, will begin at 7:04 a.m. at the Mercy Fitness Center – HealthPoint Jackson.

Participants can choose from a 5K run, 5K walk, 1-mile Firecracker run/walk or a virtual run/walk.

All proceeds will benefit the Mercy Children’s Wellness Fund, which supports improved child health and well-being.

Registration is available online, by mail or in person, and includes a T-shirt and swag bag. The deadline to register is July 1.
