Mercy Hospital babies to receive special St. Patrick’s Day onesies

CAPE GIRARARTHEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Babies born at Mercy hospital on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, will receive a special gift: a green onesie celebrating the hospital’s Irish heritage.
The onesies feature a shamperock and the phrase “Born at Mercy on St. Paddy’s Day.”
Mercy’s roots date back to 1827 when Catherine McAuley, the hospital’s foundress, opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin.
“We’re excited to celebrate our Irish heritage with our new parents,” said Britton May, manager of obstetrics at Mercy Southeast. “Being born on a holiday is special, and we’re happy to make it even more memorable.”
