Mercy Hospital Southeast nurse honored with DAISY Award

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Mercy Hospital Southeast recognized a nurse for her compassionate care as part of National Nurses Week.
Ashley Hoague, a registered nurse in the hospital’s cardiothoracic intensive care unit, received the DAISY Award, which honors nurses for exceptional patient care.
Hospital officials said Hoague was nominated by a patient’s family member, who praised her advocacy, compassion and support during a difficult time.
The DAISY Award is given to nurses who demonstrate clinical excellence and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
