Metropolis man arrested after stolen car ransacked, damaged

METROPOLIS, Ill. (KBSI) – A Metropolis man was arrested after police say a stolen car was ransacked and damaged.

Randy L Bradley Jr., 33, faces numerous felony charges including two charges of residential burglary, two charges of criminal damage to property, vehicular burglary and other misdemeanor charges.

Metropolis police officers were called the Harrah’s parking lot on August 14.

They met with Illinois Gaming Board agents who informed them that a Pontiac G6 had been ransacked and damaged.

Police say offender also took the license plates.

After contacting the registered owner, officers learned that the vehicle had been stolen and numerous items were missing and damaged from the vehicle.

The vehicle was also damaged.

Bradley Jr. was identified as the suspect.

Polices say Bradley went on a mini crime spree that included breaking into the 1st Methodist church and another home near 5th and Scott Street.

The victim from this crime called the police.

Polices say they found Bradley in the alley between 5th and 6th streets.

Theys say Bradley was extremely irrational and combative.

He was arrested and taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
