Metropolis Police report multiple arrests for harassment, trespassing and drug-related offenses

METROPOLIS, Ill., (KBSI) — Metropolis police responded to several incidents between March 5-9, resulting in multiple arrests.

On March 5, Michael D. Anderson, 52, of Metropolis, was arrested at Big John’s Grocery for criminal trespass and possession of methamphetamine after attempting to steal beer.

He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Jonathan P. Shelton, 54, of Metropolis, was arrested multiple times for harassing phone calls to Metropolis Nursing and Rehab.

He was charged with harassment by telephone and released on a notice to appear.

On March 9, Christopher A. Harris, 45, of Metropolis, was arrested on a warrant for fleeing and eluding police.

He was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Devonda G. LaMoureux, 24, of Calvert City, Kentucky, was arrested at the Speedy Mart for criminal trespass, threatening a public official, and disorderly conduct.

She was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.

Donovan H. Weidig, 31, of Benton, Illinois, was arrested for criminal damage to state-supported property after breaking a glass window. He was released on a notice to appear.

The Metropolis Police Department encourages individuals struggling with drug use to seek help.
