MILLERSVILLE, Mo., (KBSI) — The Millersville Rural Fire Protection District, in partnership with the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC), has announced the acquisition of a nearly three-acre parcel of land along State Highway BB that will serve as both a firefighter training site and the future home of Station 4.

The new facility will include an engine and brush truck bay, with space for future expansion to enhance emergency response coverage across the district. The site will also feature a dedicated training ground designed to strengthen firefighter readiness and safety through hands-on exercises in wildland firefighting, vehicle extrication, and other emergency response skills.

“This partnership with the Missouri Department of Conservation exemplifies how cooperation between local and state agencies directly benefits our community,” said Captain Nabors of the Millersville Rural Fire Protection District.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between the district and MDC, reflecting their shared commitment to public safety, community service, and environmental stewardship. The new site will allow both organizations to integrate fire prevention and conservation practices while maintaining land use that supports the public good.

Located on Highway BB, the property provides an ideal environment for joint training and resource protection efforts, aligning with both agencies’ missions to safeguard people, property, and Missouri’s natural landscapes.

Construction and development planning for Station 4 will occur in phases, with site preparation and training ground enhancements scheduled to begin in the coming year.
