MINER, Mo., (KBSI) — The Miner Police Department has issued a correction to information published in its December newsletter regarding an arrest warrant.

Police said it was incorrectly reported that a misdemeanor warrant issued through Mississippi County for Timothy H. Irby Jr., 41, of East Prairie, was for failure to register as a sex offender. Authorities clarified the warrant was actually for failure to register a motor vehicle.

The police department said it apologizes to Irby for the error.
