Mineral Area College holds ribbon cutting for new Cape Girardeau satellite campus

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Mineral Area College celebrated the upcoming opening of their brand new satellite campus in Cape Girardeau on Monday.

The president of the college joined in on a special ribbon cutting ceremony.

“So it’s basically for students who want to transfer to a university, it’s a really great place they can start,” said Dr. Joe Gilgore, President of Mineral Area College.

Classes at the campus kick off Monday, August 22.

The college will offer another option for people in the Cape Girardeau area looking to earn their associate degrees.
