Miss Illinois Scholarship Competition underway in Marion

MARION, Ill., (KBSI) — Contestants from across Illinois are competing this week in the Miss Illinois Scholarship Competition at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center.
The competition began June 10 and runs through June 13, featuring two preliminary rounds, the Miss Illinois Teen competition and the Miss Illinois finals.
The schedule includes:
* June 10: Preliminary Competition 1
* June 11: Preliminary Competition 2
* June 12: Miss Illinois Teen Finals
* June 13: Miss Illinois Finals
Tickets range from $41.22 to $55, with four-night package options also available.
The annual competition provides scholarship opportunities and serves as the state preliminary to the Miss America and Miss America’s Teen programs.
