Mississippi County jury returns guilty verdicts in methamphetamine case

CHARLESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — A Mississippi County jury has convicted Bobby Spencer of trafficking methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The verdict came after a one-day trial stemming from a May 30, 2023, incident in which Charleston officers found Spencer in a vehicle with over 160 grams of methamphetamine and two loaded firearms.

The jury deliberated for about 20 minutes before returning guilty verdicts on both charges.

Spencer’s sentencing will be scheduled at a later date.
