Mississippi County man sentenced to 64 years for multiple felony convictions

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – James L. Guthrie of Mississippi County, Missouri, was found guilty of five felony charges after a two-day jury trial on August 15, 2024.
The charges included three counts of statutory rape, one count of statutory sodomy, and one count of child molestation.
As a result, Judge Zac Horack of the 33rd Judicial Circuit handed down a severe sentence: four life sentences, with two running concurrently and two consecutively, plus an additional four years.
This totals 64 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
