CHARLESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — The Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office is honoring the memory of Deputy Michael E. Adams on the first anniversary of his line-of-duty death.

In a social media post Monday, the sheriff’s office remembered Adams for his service and sacrifice, saying his dedication to protecting the citizens of Christian County left a lasting impact on fellow deputies, family and the community.

“While one year has passed, the loss is still deeply felt,” the post said. “We remember not only the deputy who wore the badge, but also the husband, father, grandfather, friend and teammate whose legacy lives on in the lives of those he served and those who loved him.”

Adams was killed in the line of duty on June 30, 2025. Law enforcement agencies across the region marked the anniversary by honoring his service and sacrifice.
