Missouri attorney general to hold press conference on kratom, speak at pharmacy event

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Missouri Attorney General Catherine Hanaway will hold a press conference this week to discuss kratom and 7-OH alongside state and local officials.
The press conference is scheduled for 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Missouri Attorney General’s Office in the Supreme Court Building, 207 W. High St. Officials from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Missouri Poison Center, law enforcement and advocacy groups are expected to participate.
The event will be open to media and livestreamed on the attorney general’s Facebook page.
Hanaway is also scheduled to deliver a keynote address at the Missouri Pharmacy Association’s 2026 Legislative Day at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Capitol Plaza Hotel Ballroom in Jefferson City.
