JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) – Mike Kehoe has ordered the Missouri State Capitol dome to be lit green this week in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month and Children’s Mental Health Week.
The dome will be illuminated from sunset May 6 through sunrise May 7, according to the governor’s office.
Kehoe said the observance highlights the importance of supporting mental health, reducing stigma and expanding access to care across the state.
The lighting coincides with Children’s Mental Health Week, observed May 3–9, and activities organized by NAMI Missouri and other groups.
State officials encouraged residents to participate in awareness efforts, including the “Ring a Bell for Hope” campaign.
