Missouri Catholic Conference held protest ahead of execution

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Diocese of Springfield–Cape Girardeau asked for prayers for Lance Shockley following Gov. Mike Kehoe’s decision to deny clemency.
Shockley was executed Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 6 p.m.
The Missouri Catholic Conference held a respectful protest at noon Tuesday outside the governor’s office, Room 216, in the State Capitol in Jefferson City. The public was invited to attend and participate in the vigil opposing the execution.
