What you need to know for Missouri deer hunting applications

MISSOURI (KBSI) – Deer hunting applications in Missouri open from Jul. 1 to Jul. 31 for access to 150 managed hunts.
Archery, shotgun, and modern firearms throughout the state are available from mid-September to mid-January at designated conservation areas, national wildlife refuges, state and other parks, and other public areas. Hunters are selected by a random weighted drawing which will be available Aug. 15. Those selected will receive area maps and other hunting information by mail.
Before applying:
- Applicants must have the hunt number for the managed hunt.
- Conservation number is required for each hunter in the group.
- Use the same conservation number from last year for preference points to be carried over.
- Hunters must be 11 years old or older by the date of the hunt.
