Missouri emergency officials highlight ongoing flood recovery efforts

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KBSI) — The Missouri State Emergency Management Agency is highlighting the ongoing work of volunteer and faith-based organizations supporting communities recovering from recent flooding.

According to the agency, partners are providing large-scale meal services for flood survivors and first responders, along with shower facilities, laundry services and cleanup kits to help those affected by the disaster.

The agency said those efforts are an important part of Missouri’s disaster response and recovery.

Officials also reminded residents with unmet needs related to the recent flooding to contact United Way by dialing 2-1-1 for assistance.

The Missouri State Emergency Management Agency thanked its response partners, including the American Red Cross of Missouri, Missouri Baptist Disaster Relief, Convoy of Hope and Operation BBQ Relief, for their continued support.
