Missouri Governor declares state of emergency due to severe weather
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Gov. Mike Kehoe declared a state of emergency in Missouri on Friday due to severe storm systems forecast to affect communities statewide.
The declaration, effective immediately, will remain in place until April 14, 2025, unless extended.
Kehoe activated the Missouri State Emergency Operations Plan, authorizing state agencies to provide assistance as needed.
The severe weather event, beginning March 14, 2025, has the potential to cause damages associated with tornadoes, straight-line winds, large hail, heavy rains, flooding and flash flooding.
