Missouri Health Department releases annual Cannabis Program Report
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services has published its annual report on the state’s medical and adult-use cannabis program, highlighting key activities and achievements during the 2024 program year.
The report covers the period from Dec. 1, 2023, to Nov. 30, 2024, and provides an overview of the program’s progress, including the completion of the second round of microbusiness applications and licensing.
The department’s Division of Cannabis Regulation also began post-licensure verification to ensure licenses were awarded to eligible individuals.
“We are committed to ensuring regulations protect the safety of patients, consumers, and the public without undue burden on licensees,” said Amy Moore, director of the Division of Cannabis Regulation.
The report also highlights new initiatives, including a licensee collaborative for regulators and cannabis industry experts to work together on emerging issues.
