Missouri man arrested, charged with possession of child pornography

BISMARCK, Mo., (KBSI) — Corey A. Oliver, 52, was arrested Tuesday and charged with three counts of possession of child pornography, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.
The arrest followed an investigation by the Special Victims Unit, which began in January when investigators identified a device linked to Oliver’s internet account that may have uploaded child pornography.
During the investigation, the images were confirmed to be child pornography.
Oliver was interviewed at his St. Francois County residence on Jan. 16, and evidence was seized for further forensic examination.
He was formally charged on Feb. 26 and is being held in the St. Francois County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reminds internet users to report anyone attempting to engage in unwanted or inappropriate communications with children.
