MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A Missouri man was arrested in McCracken County, Kentucky after sheriff’s deputies he failed to comply with Kentucky’s sex offender registry.

McCracken County sheriff’s deputies conducted a welfare check on April 12 on a man who had reportedly been staying in his car on the KOW.

He was identified as Ronald Sulik, 54, of Doe Run, Missouri. He faces a charge of failure to comply with sex offender registry – Class D felony.

Deputies discovered Sulik was on the Missouri sex offender registry. At that time, deputies explained to Sulik the requirement for registering in Kentucky, if he intended to stay.

They say Sulik said he would return to Missouri.

In the following days, deputies saw Sulik in the same area. Corporal Tyler Davis opened an investigation. After consulting with Probation and Parole, Corporal Davis discovered Sulik had still not registered in Kentucky.

Deputies say evidence indicated Sulik did not return to Missouri and had been living in Kentucky.

An arrest warrant was sought for Sulik.

On June 19 about 10:20 a.m., Sulik was found at a home on County Line Road and arrested. He was taken to McCracken County Regional Jail.
