Missouri man charged in fatal moped crash
SCOTT COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — A 48-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash involving a moped.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred Monday night on MO 77 at the intersection of Highway H, southeast of Benton.
The moped driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Nathan Householder was charged with felony driving while intoxicated, aggravated DWI and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
Court documents say Householder’s vehicle, a 2011 GMC Sierra, was found after a citizen reported its possible location.
Householder was arrested after detectives noticed signs of intoxication.
