Missouri man sentenced to 30 years in prison

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — A 53-year-old Carter County, Missouri, man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for producing child pornography.

Clinton Rongey was convicted in December of sexual exploitation of a minor. Prosecutors said he produced over 100 images of child sexual abuse material featuring a victim who was 3 and 4 years old at the time.

The case was investigated by the Carter County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI. Rongey’s sentencing was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse.
