Missouri Public Service Commission to hold public hearings on Spire rate increase request

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri Public Service Commission will hold seven local public hearings starting June 2, 2025, to receive customer comments on a natural gas rate increase request by Spire Missouri Inc.

The requested rate increase would total approximately $236 million, resulting in a 15% increase, or $14 per month, for the average residential customer.

Hearings will be held in St. Louis, Shrewsbury, St. Joseph, Kansas City and Joplin, as well as two virtual hearings.

Customers can participate in person or virtually. Those wishing to participate in virtual hearings are encouraged to register in advance.

Written comments can be submitted online or by mail.
