Missouri regulators approve Ameren Transmission project

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Missouri Public Service Commission has granted a certificate of convenience and necessity to Ameren Transmission Company of Illinois for a transmission project in north-central Missouri.

The project, known as the Denny-Zachary-Thomas Hill-Maywood Project, involves constructing and installing about 200 miles of 345-kilovolt transmission lines across 11 counties.

The commission also approved a plan to co-locate a portion of the project with an existing 161-kilovolt circuit, reducing disruption to landowners.
