MISSOURI (KBSI) – A proposed Missouri law would require school districts and charter schools to display the Ten Commandments in every building and classroom.

Senate Bill 594 would mandate the displays be at least 11 inches by 14 inches, with the text in a large, readable font.

The displays would be required starting Jan. 1, 2026.

School boards and governing boards could use their funds or accept donations to purchase the displays but would not be required to spend money for this purpose.
