Missouri Sportsbooks gear up for Super Bowl LX

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Missouri sports betting is facing its biggest test yet with the Super Bowl. This year’s Super Bowl marks the first time Missourians can legally place wagers on the game.

Lyle Randolph, president and general manager of Century Casino Cape Girardeau, said preparations are underway for what is expected to be a major day for sports bettors. Century Casino operates the area’s first BetMGM Sportsbook location since sports betting became legal in Missouri on Dec. 1, 2025.

Industry groups project a record number of wagers for Super Bowl 60, estimating a 27% increase compared with last year. Missouri’s newly legalized market is expected to contribute to that total.

Bettors say their interest extends beyond the final score.

“So obviously wagers for the Super Bowl will be taken up until game time and even wagers during the game for different aspects,” said one BetMGM app user. “We’ll have proposition bets and in-game betting — just a variety of different opportunities to place wagers on the game.”

Industry groups, including BetMGM, estimate this year’s Super Bowl will have a significant impact on Missouri’s sports betting market.

A portion of tax revenue generated from sports betting in Missouri is directed toward funding education. Many sportsbooks are offering promotions ahead of kickoff, and Randolph said the Cape Girardeau BetMGM location will do the same.

“We’ll be doing promotions during the event,” Randolph said. “We have a $250 drawing for every touchdown that’s scored, so we’ll have an exciting time here at the BetMGM Sportsbook at Century Casino Cape Girardeau.”
