Missouri State Parks ranger honored for lifesaving response

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — A Missouri State Parks ranger has been recognized for her actions during a recent drowning incident.
Ranger Grace Romine received the Grand Cordon Award after assisting in a life-threatening emergency, according to Missouri State Parks.
Officials said Romine was on duty when she noticed county deputies responding to a drowning. She immediately stepped in to help with lifesaving efforts. With assistance from deputies and a nurse who arrived at the scene, the victim was stabilized.
Missouri State Parks officials thanked Romine for her quick response and commitment to public safety.
