Missouri Task Force 1 continues flood relief efforts in Texas

BOONE COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Missouri Task Force 1 (MO-TF1) continued its relief operations along the Guadalupe River in Kerr County, Texas, conducting search and recovery operations alongside teams from Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia and local agencies.

The team utilized boats, ground crews and specialized search teams to complete its assigned operations. Afterward, personnel underwent decontamination protocols before returning to the Base of Operations to rest and prepare for another day.

Tomorrow’s assignment will focus on continuing the search within the same area, using boats, trained canines, technical tools and heavy equipment to search through debris piles.

Local, state and federal partners are working together to systematically search the impacted disaster zone.

“The team is doing well and remains committed to supporting those affected in Texas,” said the MO-TF1 Task Force Leader. “We’ll continue to work hard until we’re no longer needed, with the goal of helping bring closure to those affected by this catastrophic flooding.”
