Missouri to issue full November SNAP benefits after federal funding restored

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Missouri officials say all Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants will receive their full November benefits following the restoration of federal funding under the newly signed FY26 Appropriations Act.
President Donald J. Trump signed the measure into law on Nov. 12, allowing the Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS) to resume issuing full SNAP benefits after weeks of uncertainty.
“With federal funding back in place, our team is moving swiftly to issue full November benefits,” DSS Director Jess Bax said.
“We know how important this assistance is to Missouri households, especially after the uncertainty of recent weeks, and we thank the public for being patient with us as we navigated communicating effectively.”
DSS said it is working immediately to complete system updates needed to distribute full benefits.
Until those updates are finalized, the state will continue issuing partial payments.
Participants who have already received a partial amount will automatically get the remaining balance once processing is complete.
No action is required from SNAP recipients.
The agency is coordinating with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service and Missouri’s electronic benefit transfer vendor to ensure funds are delivered as quickly as possible.
