Missouri’s annual Back-to-School Sales Tax holiday approaches
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — Missouri’s annual Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday will take place from Aug. 1-3, offering shoppers a chance to purchase certain items tax-free.
During the holiday, eligible items including clothing, school supplies, computers and personal computer devices will be exempt from state and local sales taxes.
According to the Missouri Department of Revenue, eligible items include:
— Clothing with a value of $100 or less, including apparel, footwear and disposable diapers.
— School supplies costing $50 or less per purchase, such as textbooks, notebooks, paper and writing instruments.
— Personal computers and computer peripheral devices costing $1,500 or less.
