(KBSI) – Gather your grant ideas for submission. The Department of Conservation offers communities and partners a number of grant and cost-share options to assist with everything from green development to wildlife habitat to enhancing outdoor recreation opportunities.

Applications for the Land Conservation Partnership Grant (LCPG) are now available. The LCPG program has four pillars to support partners connecting people to nature:

  • Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure
  • Conservation Land Acquisition
  • Conservation Easement Assistance
  • Land Conservation Innovations

These competitive, matching grants have funding based on available funds, viability of the proposal and the extent to which the project advances MDC’s land conservation goals. There is no designated maximum or minimum amount organizations and communities can apply for.

Tap here to find specific application information for each of the program pillars at the Land Conservation Partnership Grant webpage.

Applications are available July 5 for CommuniTree. Communitree grantees receive free, 3-gallon trees for public or nonprofit plantings (neighborhood associations, schools, Scouts, churches, cities, municipalities and other community groups) with tree delivery Oct 3. Applicants should have a plan for three years of watering. Contact Taylor Neff at 816-759-7300 or taylor.neff@mdc.mo.gov.
