Mobile home fire claims two lives in Scott City
SCOTT CITY, Mo., (KBSI) — A house fire broke out April 30 in Scott City, resulting in two fatalities, according to Scott City Fire Chief Shawn Jackson.
The fire occurred on 4th Street E. Jackson said firefighters responded to the fire alarm at 3:15 p.m.
Upon arrival they found heavy smoke coming from the front of the home.
Firefighters immediately began search and rescue efforts. They did find two victims.
Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
