MoDOT preparing for possible winter weather

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – With possible winter weather rolling in, the Missouri Department of Transportation is preparing to treat the roads.

For people who have to travel, MoDOT Southeast District Maintenance Engineer Amy Bryant asks them to be careful, drive slow, and give the plows plenty of room on the roadways.

“If you don’t have to, please stay in and give us some time to get out there and treat the roads and get them safe and passable for you before you have to get out there,” she said.

Other than the ice storm that started off the new year, Bryant said it’s been a typical winter for the southeast Missouri area.
