MoDOT to reduce Route 51 to one lane for shoulder repairs

SIKESTON, Mo., (KBSI) — A section of Route 51 in Bollinger and Perry counties will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform shoulder repairs.

The work zone will be between County Road 930 in Bollinger County and Route KK in Perry County. Weather permitting, repairs will take place Jan. 22-23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

Crews will also perform roadside work on another section of Route 51, from mile marker 96.8 to 96.2, on Feb. 4 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.

The work zones will be marked with signs, and motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution when traveling near the areas.
